When one looks back at his career, it is clear why Andrei Korottchenko has such a strong reputation as a Toronto attorney. He has has a pretty good track record in many practice areas since the day in 2015 when he was admitted to the Ontario Bar. For the most part, Andrei practices in the areas of maritime and transportation law, with an emphasis on cargo recovery, but he has significant experience handling matters involving subrogation and insurance defence, too.
So as to provide clients with the best possible representation, Andrei Korottchenko has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice quite often. He has also appeared before the Federal Court of Canada many times on a wide variety of matters. Prior to becoming an Ontario attorney, Andrei Korottchenko practiced law in Germany and the United States. In the U.S., he served as in-house legal counsel for the largest break bulk carrier company in the entire world.
Over the years, Andrei Korottchenko has played an active role in many important commercial and corporate matters, including numerous complex purchase transactions and vessel sales. Of course, Andrei is more than an attorney; he also tends towards activism. For example, over the past decade-plus, he has served in the Naval Reserve, having served on naval ships and bases throughout Canada and overseas. In his legal career, Andrei Korottchenko also is a member of both the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Associations, as well as the Toronto Lawyers Association and the Canadian Maritime Law Association. As a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Ontario Bar Association, Andrei Korottchenko has completed and even taught continuing legal education seminars.
